In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? (ie of film openings)

The title of our film is called "Despatched". We chose this because it links to the suitcase being taken away and on the way to be delivered somewhere. We like this title as it gives the audience a little bit of information about the film, but doesn't give away any specific details, meaning people will have to watch more to find out.

The location of our film opening is in Scotland. It is near a town called Appin up in the highlands. We filmed mainly at Inver Boathouse, which is a suitable setting with the mountainous surroundings to make an action film. The windy roads make it slightly more mysterious when racing around the loch.

The costumes that we used were suits. We felt that in many successful action films the actors wear suits, and thought it was an important aspect to the film. David as the main character is wearing sunglasses, which give him a more mysterious and action figure stereotype. I was originally going to wear them, but we thought that as he had the most screen time being the main character it was more suitable for him to wear them.

Props included the sunglasses, the car and suitcase/briefcase. The suitcase is one of the main points in our film with that being the reason for the race around the loch. David managed to find one of his Dad's old ones that fitted well. The car was also vital, with the whole race idea. Had we not had this we may have had to re structure the film, and we wanted a car that was suitable to this as well.
