Problems when editing.

In one of our lessons this week, me and oli came across a continuity error. We had filmed part of me getting in the car in two different places and when we came to put the two shots together, it just didnt look right. We were very disappointed by this as we really liked the camera shot. The photo above shows the angle that we were going for, but obviously it wasn't me who was filming as i was in the shot, so oli was doing the filming. The effect of this shot looked really good, as it showed me walking around the side of the car and getting into the front passenger seat. The problem was that we had filmed me putting the suitcase in the back of the car on the beach and this shot was done on lay by next to the loch, so when we put the two shots together, it just didnt look right. In the end me and oli came to the decision to get rid of it completely which disappointed both of us, but we knew it had to be done if we wanted to make our film look as realistic as possible.
